
BIOGRAPHY
Jiahui is a Vancouver-based sound designer with industry experience across the United States, Canada, and China. Passionate about storytelling through sound, she is always seeking new ways to push the boundaries of audio, experimenting with innovative technologies to craft unique auditory experiences.
Beyond sound design, she specializes in Wwise, spatial audio, coding, and game design, aiming to craft immersive experiences where high-quality audio enhances spatial context, emotional tone, and gameplay. She also works with Max/MSP/Jitter to experiment with audiovisual interaction, exploring how sound can be visualized and manipulated in real time. In addition to game audio, she is eager to expand into other areas, including sonic branding and sound design for user experience (UX) in digital products.
As a lead engineer in diverse recording sessions—including orchestras, rock bands, and voice-over work—Jiahui has produced music across various genres. Notable projects include collaborating with composer Catherine Joy on the award-winning film Home is a Hotel and engineering the classical album To My Little Dreamer (Lexicon Classics). In 2022, she partnered with cellist Sophia Bacelar (The World of Hans Zimmer) as the lead recording engineer for her electronic and cello album, Nocturnes.
Previously, as an audio engineer at a Shanghai-based tech company, she worked with DSP engineers and developers to design high-end sound systems and effects, tuning audio for products in collaboration with brands such as BYD Auto, HUAWEI, FORD, and XPENG.
